Decentralized Authentication

Login With Your Life App

Digital Login lets you authenticate to participating Digital World services using your Digital Life app instead of a username and password. Open the app, scan the service's QR code, and review and approve each authentication request yourself - nothing is approved automatically.

What Is Digital Login

What Is Digital Login?

Digital Login is the authentication method built into Digital Life. It lets you sign in to participating Digital World services using your member identity instead of creating and remembering a separate password for each one.

The Problem

Managing a separate username and password for every service increases the risk of reused or leaked credentials.

How It Works

Your Life app holds your identity. When a participating service requests authentication, you scan its QR code and approve the request from your device.

What's Supported Today

Digital Login currently works with Digital World services that have integrated support for it. It does not yet work with every website or app.

How It Works

Authenticating With Digital Login

Every login follows the same steps and requires your approval before it's completed.

1

Open Digital Life

Open the Digital World Life App on your device before starting the login.

2

Scan The QR Code

Scan the QR code shown by the participating service with your Life app.

3

Review The Request

Check what's requesting access - including the service's identity and what it's asking for, such as your identifier or a specific credential - before deciding.

4

Approve Or Decline Access

Approve the request to continue, or decline it if you don't recognize the service or don't want to share what's requested.

5

Complete Authentication

Once approved, the service receives only the information or cryptographic proof you approved, and the login completes.

Security

How Authentication Works

Your private keys stay on your device and under your control. Participating services receive only the information or cryptographic proof you authorize for that specific request. Depending on the service, encrypted routing, credential, recovery, or audit data may be processed by authorized infrastructure providers.

Authorized Data Sharing

Your private keys remain under your control. Services receive only the information or cryptographic proof that you authorize.

One-Scan Access

Scan a service QR code, review the request, and authorize access from your Life App.

Member-Controlled Identity

Your identifiers and credentials are controlled by you and can be independently verified. Digital World does not require your personal identity data to be placed on a public blockchain.

Designed for Participating Services

Designed to work across participating websites, applications, devices, and service providers.

Permissions

You Review Every Request

Digital Login is built around explicit, per-request approval. You can review, approve, decline, or revoke access where supported by the participating service.

Review Before You Approve

Each request shows what the requesting service is asking for before you decide whether to continue.

Approve Or Decline

You can approve a request to proceed, or decline it if you don't want to share what's being asked for.

Revoke Access Later

Where a service supports it, you can revoke previously granted access from your Life app without contacting the service directly.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can use Digital Login?

Any member with a Digital Identity in Digital Life can use Digital Login to authenticate to participating services.

How do I know a login request is genuine before approving it?

Before you approve, Digital Life shows you the requesting service's identity, what information or credential it's asking for, and why. Review these details each time, and decline if anything looks unfamiliar or unexpected.

Do I still need a password?

No. Digital Login replaces passwords with your Digital Life identity. You authenticate by scanning a QR code and approving the request in the app.

What information is shared with the service I'm logging into?

Only the specific identifier, credential, or cryptographic proof requested and approved for that login. Digital Login does not share your full identity or unrelated personal data by default.

What happens if I decline a login request?

If you decline, the request is not approved and the service does not receive any information from your Digital Life identity.

Can I revoke access after I've logged in?

Where the service supports it, yes - you can revoke previously granted access from your Life app. If a service doesn't yet support revocation from the app, you may need to contact that service directly.

Which services support Digital Login?

Digital Login works with participating Digital World services that have implemented Digital Login authentication.
