Digital Reputation

In the Digital World, members can build a Digital Reputation score connected to their Digital Identity.

The score reflects the trustworthiness of a Digital Individual, a Digital Organization (such as an Association, Trust, or Company), or a Digital Asset, on a scale of 0-1000. It's intended to help you make more informed decisions about the people and entities you connect with online, as one input among others - it does not guarantee an outcome.

Is a Digital Reputation score the same as a credit score or background check?

No. A Digital Reputation score is not a government-issued credit score, background check, or legal record, and it is not a certified assessment of legal, financial, or creditworthiness status.

Can a Digital Reputation score be manipulated?

Digital World's scoring approach is designed to make manipulation harder, but no scoring system can claim to be completely immune to gaming or manipulation. Scores should be treated as one input, not a guarantee of trustworthiness.

Do I have to build a Digital Reputation score?

Participation depends on the Digital World services you use. Some services and interactions may rely on reputation data more than others.

How is a Digital Organization's or Digital Asset's score different from an individual's?

The same 0-1000 scale is used, but the underlying data differs - an individual's score draws on their Digital Identity activity, while an organization's or asset's score draws on data relevant to that entity, such as its formation records, transaction history, or verified attributes.
